Dr. Wayne Terai
Dr. Wayne Terai believes in helping patients achieve their optimum health and wellness goals through a variety of treatment techniques that incorporate chiropractic care, lasery therapy treatment, nutritional, exercise and lifestyle counselling
Dr. Wayne grew up in Kelowna, BC. He attended the University of British Columbia to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989, with a major in Biology. He went on to study Medical Laboratory Science at the UBC Department of Medicine.
While studying, he was involved in two motor vehicle accidents which left him unable to sit or stand for long periods of time due to chronic and recurrent back pain. After much convincing by his brother Mark (who is now also a Doctor of Chiropractic), he sought care at a chiropractor’s office and had excellent results. Impressed with his great results, he spent the rest of the school year “shadowing” both chiropractors and medical doctors in their offices to find out what they do on a day-to-day basis. Realizing that the philosophy of chiropractic and its focus on health and wellness resonated with him much more than the sickness care model of the medical setting, he decided to pursue a chiropractic career. That fall, he attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario and graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1994.
Missing Kelowna and the lifestyle the Okanagan offered while he was away, he returned to begin his career at Burtch Chiropractic. Burtch Chiropractic has been helping Okanagan families live healthy and drug-free for since 1994.

Diane – Office Administrative Assistant / Certified Laser Therapist
Diane joined Burtch Chiropractic and Kelowna Laser Therapy in February, 2017. She feels that it is an absolute pleasure being part of such an awesome team that takes pride in giving their patients the best experiences possible.
Her role is to provide our patients with a good understanding of Bioflex Laser Treatment as well as Chiropractic Treatment to help them to become pain free and back to enjoying life. Nothing makes her happier than to see this transformation.
In her spare time she enjoys exploring Kelowna and all of what it offers.
Janine
Janine joined Burtch Chiropractic and Kelowna Laser Therapy in 2021 after a 28 year career with Air Canada based in Vancouver. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking and travelling.
Tatjana
Tatjana moved from a little town in Germany to Steinbach Manitoba in the late 90s. After school Tatjana worked as a care aide, where for over a decade, she enjoyed helping people. She brings that passion forward to her new job as Burtch Chiropractic’s Laser Therapist. Tatjana is looking forward to providing the best care possible for anyone who walks into the office.
Danielle
Danielle grew up in Kelowna and has always enjoyed working in public service. She strives to create an inviting and memorable experience for clients, focusing on what needs to be done to get the best results. She had previously worked in the health food industry for 10 years, giving her helpful nutritional knowledge. She has also worked in the interior design and casino industry, which has taught her the relevance of precision and taking pride in her work. She loves seeing patients change as their conditions improve!
