Vitamin C Doubles Effectiveness of Chemotherapy and Radiation

Each day, more than 1,600 people prematurely die from cancer in the United States. Worldwide, an estimated 20,000 succumb to cancer on a daily basis.

Research has shown vitamin C is selectively cytotoxic to cancer cells when administered in high doses. The mechanism behind vitamin C’s ability to selectively target cancer cells has to do with the generation of hydrogen peroxide, which is ultimately what kills the cancer cells.
